13.40.070 Utility payment plans.
Notwithstanding any other provision of this title, the city may authorize customers of the city’s water, sewer and storm water utilities to remit payments on delinquent utility accounts upon an installment basis in accordance with an approved utility payment plan. The requirements of such utility payment plan shall be consistent with a policy established by resolution of the city council, and the following:
A. The payment schedule for a utility payment plan shall not exceed twelve months; and
B. A utility payment plan may provide for the temporary forbearance of the city’s right to shut off utility service for a delinquent account, as otherwise applicable, but shall not provide for a waiver or reduction in the amount of applicable principal, late charges or interest due and owing by the utility customer.
