Each of the full-time appointed officers of the city shall receive an annual base salary as the city council of the city of Algona shall set from time to time. The annual base salary shall be payable in installments at the same time as other employees of the city are paid. Any time outside of normal office hours devoted by an appointed officer to the business of the city shall entitle the officer to take reasonable administrative leave as is mutually convenient to the officer and the city. It is understood that this administrative leave shall not be accrued nor have a cash value at termination. (Ord. 587 § 2, 1987).
