A. Except as otherwise provided under this chapter, every person who engages in business within the city shall apply for and obtain from the city clerk a license for the privilege of engaging in business within the city for each calendar year during which such business is conducted. If more than one business is conducted on a single premises, a separate license shall be required for each separate business so conducted.

B. For purposes of the license by this chapter, any person or business whose annual value of products, gross proceeds of sales, or gross income of the business in the city is equal to or less than two thousand dollars, and who does not maintain a place of business within the city, shall submit a business license registration to the clerk. The threshold does not apply to regulatory license requirements or activities that require a specialized permit.

C. No fee shall be required for the registration pursuant to subsection B of this section. (Ord. 1161-18 § 3; Ord. 959-04 § 5).
