Any person violating any of the provisions of this chapter is guilty of a misdemeanor. Each violation shall be punishable, as fixed by the court, by a fine of not more than one thousand dollars, or imprisonment for a maximum term not to exceed ninety days, or by both such fine and imprisonment; provided, that whenever the court imposes probation as a condition of deferring imposition of sentence or suspending sentence upon a person licensed under this chapter, the court shall provide that upon finding of a violation of probation, the court shall revoke the violator’s license; and provided further, that whenever a person licensed under this chapter is convicted of a second offense within two years of the date of a prior conviction, the court shall revoke that person’s license.
