A. An owner who possesses or maintains an exotic animal on or before the effective date of the ordinance codified in this chapter may continue to possess or maintain such animal; provided, the owner registers said animal pursuant to the registration requirements of AMC 6.16.060 with the animal control authority within sixty calendar days of the effective date of the ordinance codified in this chapter.

B. As a condition of registration, the animal control officer may inspect the proposed premises and confinement device for the animal, which must meet the cage or confinement rules and regulations of the animal control authority. (Ord. 1105-15 § 1).
