In cooperation with the Auburn School District and private schools within the city of Algona, the appropriate signage shall be installed and maintained throughout the city to provide notice of the existence of the city of Algona “Drug Free Zones” depicted on the map attached to the ordinance codified in this chapter as Exhibit “A”; provided, however, such signage shall be considered strictly for the purpose of public education and information and, pursuant to RCW 69.50.435, the absence of signage in any “Drug Free Zone” shall not constitute a defense to the enhanced penalties provided in RCW 69.50.435.
