The provisions of this chapter shall be deemed to be an exercise of the power of the city of Algona to license and/or tax for revenue the privilege of engaging in business in the city of Algona. For the purposes of this chapter, the terms “license” and “tax” shall be synonymous. (Ord. 872 § 1, 1999; Ord. 448 § 1, 1981).
