A. Any person preparing to submit an application for development or use of land as provided in Section 14.04.040 that may be regulated by the provisions of this chapter may request a consultation meeting with the mayor or his/her designee prior to submitting an application for development or other approval. At this meeting, the mayor or designee shall discuss the requirements of this chapter; provide critical area maps, scientific information, and other source materials as available to the city relative to the potential for impacts to critical areas; outline the review process; and work with the activity proponent to identify any potential concerns that might arise during the review process, in addition to discussing other permit procedures and requirements.
